A Private Practice, By Design

One Physician. Long Appointments. Image Guidance Every Time.

Alpine was built to be small on purpose. The same physician who examines you reads your imaging and performs your procedure — and tells you honestly when a procedure is not the answer.

The Standard

What You Get Here That You Rarely Get Elsewhere

01

A private practice, by design

Alpine is deliberately low-volume. Appointments are long, schedules are protected, and you are never one of forty patients on a board.

02

The physician does everything

Dr. Hyzy performs your exam, reads your imaging, and does your procedure himself — no technicians, no rotating providers.

03

Fellowship-trained in interventional orthopedics

Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with a decade-plus focused on interventional spine, sports medicine, and regenerative orthopedics.

04

Image guidance on every procedure

Ultrasound and fluoroscopy put the injection exactly where the problem is, instead of near it.

05

Second opinions before surgery

If you've been told you need a spine or joint operation, we review the imaging and lay out the non-surgical options in full.

06

Orthopedics and longevity under one plan

Procedures, strength and recovery work, hormone and peptide optimization, and body composition are coordinated by one physician.

Experience

Two Decades of Interventional Orthopedics

Dr. Matthew Hyzy is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship-trained in interventional spine and sports medicine. He has spent more than a decade focused specifically on ultrasound- and fluoroscopy-guided procedures, orthobiologics, and non-surgical spine care.

He was previously a partner in a Colorado interventional orthopedics group and launched its Lone Tree location in 2018. Alpine is the practice he built to do that work the way he believes it should be done: fewer patients, longer appointments, and the physician performing every step personally.

Patients from the Denver Tech Center, South Denver Metro, Douglas County, and the Monument and Colorado Springs corridor have followed him across practices for that reason.

The Process

How A Case Actually Runs

  1. 01

    A real diagnostic visit

A long appointment, a hands-on exam, and an independent review of your films — including studies read elsewhere.

  2. 02

    Confirmation before treatment

In-room ultrasound and, where needed, a guided diagnostic block, so the target is confirmed rather than assumed.

  3. 03

The right procedure, not the default one

Guided injection, PRP, or BMAC chosen for the tissue and its severity. Sometimes the honest answer is none of them yet.

  4. 04

    Loading, then reassessment

A written progression so relief becomes capacity, with checkpoints that decide whether anything further is warranted.

FAQs

Questions About How We Work

Will I actually see Dr. Hyzy every visit?

Yes. He performs your exam, reviews your imaging, and does your procedure himself. There are no rotating providers and no technician-performed injections.

How is this different from a large group practice?

Volume. Alpine is deliberately small, so appointments are long and schedules are protected. You are not one of forty patients on a procedure board.

Do you take insurance?

Guided diagnostic and therapeutic injections are often covered. Regenerative and orthobiologic procedures generally are not, and concierge membership is separate. Costs are reviewed in full before anything is scheduled.

What if I need surgery?

We say so plainly and help you get to the right surgeon. Honest candidacy is the point of a second opinion, not a way to sell a procedure.

Do you see patients travelling from out of state?

Regularly. Visits are grouped so the number of trips is kept to a minimum, and the plan is written so it can be carried out at home.
